![]() The fourth strategy involves using a Reaper's Toll on Act 2 Mercenary for the Decrepify Curse procs, which may also remove physical immunities. The third strategy involves equipping items such as Atma's Scarab amulet, which may proc Amplify Damage Curse effect that can remove physical immunities and cause enemies to take extra physical damage. While this may be more effective in certain cases, it may also cause you to drop your Frenzy buff. The second strategy is using Berserk directly instead of the synergised Frenzy. This allows Frenzy to also deal a small amount of magic damage which can quickly build up. The first strategy involves investing a skill point in Berserk which adds magic damage to Frenzy Attacks as a synergy. In order to resolve this problem, the Frenzy Barbarian can choose from a variety of strategies. The Frenzy Barbarian does high amounts of physical damage, which may pose a problem against physical immune monsters. Compared to Hammerdins or Blizzard Sorcs who can pretty much 1 shot grouped enemies (mobs), this lack of AoE damage is a weakness for the Frenzy Barbarian. However, the ability itself does single target damage, which means you will have to quickly dispose of your enemies one by one. The Frenzy Barbarian unleashes powerful melee attacks which also benefit from Increased Attack Speed (IAS). This build is viable for single target boss-killer at highest difficulties. However, the Frenzy Barbarian build does not necessarily require the Enigma runeword! Since the Barbarian has the same FCR breakpoints as the Sorceress, the Frenzy Barbarian can very quickly teleport across the map. While the budget version can use Leap Attack to quickly traverse the map, the end game version of the build may prefer to utilize the Enigma runeword for teleporting. Outside of Ubers, the Frenzy Barbarian can kill Players 8 Hell difficulty bosses as well as uniques. This is the go-to Barbarian build for clearing Uber Tristram, which has the highest difficulty Uber Bosses in the game. The Frenzy Barbarian can clear all content in the game as mentioned above. This factor alone makes Frenzy Barbarian a very strong boss killer. ![]() In other words, your character will become much more powerful and faster for each successfully landed Frenzy attack. This build requires the Barbarian to immediately start attacking with Frenzy in order to build up the Frenzy Buff, which grants more IAS and movement speed to your character. If we had to rank this build in its current state, we would rank it low A tier. However, it still provides good overall damage. ![]() With the current changes applied in Patch 2.5, the build will be affected by the lack of its AoE damage. The Frenzy Barb has long been a strong PvM build for Barbarians. While the Frenzy Barb does very high damage by itself and does not necessarily need a mercenary, the character also gains further support from the new Act 5 Dual Wield Frenzy Mercenary or Act 2 Mercenary as usual, which will be analyzed below. The Frenzy Barbarian (Frenzy Barb) gets this build name because it heavily relies upon Frenzy which is still the preferred Barbarian skill for killing bosses. I would like to extend my thanks to Wowhead writers RenataKane and CinereousStyx for providing their advice and assistance which helped formatting this written guide. Therefore, we recommend making some gear revisions to elimite the negative effects of The Bone Break. However, the Frenzy Barbarian does not perfectly synergize with this charm, since it is a melee build and the negative effects of the charm are detrimental for melee builds. The Frenzy Barbarian naturally gets matched with the physical sunder charm The Bone Break. Note: Patch 2.5 introduced Terror Zones and the new six unique sunder charms.
